About the Association of Comparative Economic Studies
Association of Comparative Economic Studies
|
The purpose of our organization is to promote scholarly exchange among persons
interested in comparative studies of economic systems, planning, and economic
development and to further the growth of systematic knowledge in these areas by
facilitating research, instruction, and publication. We meet once a year
at the annual meetings of the American Economic Association and we have
occasional sessions at regional economic meetings and in Europe. In the
fall, we mail all members the program for the upcoming annual meeting
and an election ballot. We sponsor and edit two well-known journals, Comparative
Economic Studies, edited by Jeffrey Miller of University of
Delaware, and The Journal of Comparative Economics, edited by
John Bonin of Wesleyan University.
